I went to Quilt Market last weekend and took precisely 7 pictures inside the trade show. But I did take a lot during my wanderings around Portland and teaching at Modern Domestic. Two reasons, I was feeling very reflective while there (oh, that work/life balance thing) and I met with Susan the first night and she clearly rubbed off on me.

Sewing and hardware store shots? I thought I loved you before, but I love you a whole lot more right now! Kisses from Portland, we miss you!
So grateful for the images you shared and the inspiration I get from your blog. The recent quilt you made based on a child's painting made me think twice about a card my son made for me for mother's day. I may have to follow your lead.
love the inspiration pics!
love those doors!! Great photo inspiration. I've always thought it would be a cool weekly feature to have people join in on a weekly quilt inspiration photo...kind of like how they have friday finish, wip wednesday. I hope being reflective gave your some perspective, or at least helped you in the plan to work/life balance. That's a tough one. :(
So sorry to have missed meeting you at market! There's a lot to love about Portland, so I hope you'll come back!
Great pictures. And you know what 'they' say, inspirations comes from everywhere.
Thanks for the great photo tour of Portland. I think it is more interesting than the many photos of inside the market.
Well you beat me on pictures taken at market. I think I took a photo of my feet on the carpet outside the show...that was it. ;) So glad to at least get to say "hi" while you were here.
And that comment above?
From me, Susan.
Don't know why I'm anonymous...
Hmmm... now the first comment is gone.
Sheesh. I'm having serious commenting issues.
Coming back here to see that anonymous comment never posted. So. The gist of it was that it was awesome to meet you in person. And I loved seeing your photos of Portland. I've taken a photo myself of one of the exact same spots and used it for jewelry inspiration on my blog. You've got my creative juices flowing now. Thank you. I hope you enjoyed the trip and are now happy to be home.
