Friday Favourites - Lena Dunham and Jian Ghomeshi

We are blessed with a great (but seriously underfunded) public broadcasting station - The CBC. And on the CBC we are blessed with one of the best radio voices ever - Jian Ghomeshi. Seriously, this guy has one of the best voices. And he is a great interviewer.

I was completely blown away by this interview with Lena Dunham by Jian Ghomeshi. I really enjoy Girls, even though it makes me feel old, and very thankful for being old. This interview touches on so much more than her career. Watch it for the discussions on creativity, mental illness, and openness. Dunham is quite eloquent and honest. All in all, totally inspiring.

I love Lena. She's so "real" isn't she? I heard her interviewed on NPR (National Public Radio) here a few days ago and fell in love with her even more.

Thanks for sharing this Cheryl. I look forward to it - and to hearing Gian's voice. I know he does some content for our NPR as well, thought i don't think I've ever heard his program.

:( I can't get the audio or video to load. I wonder if others will be able to...

I don't watch much tv and have no idea who is popular in music or on screen. I watched the interview and was blown away. I ordered Lena's book. I am 60 and remember my twenties so fondly.

I love Lena. She was just here at a local bookstore and I didn't realize it.
