Water Version 3

Look at me changing things up.  This time I got rid of all the small pieces in this one.  And after so many of you liked them thrown into v2.

There needs to be some sort of transition between the short and long pieces, or could they simply be sewn together?  Thoughts?

And because I anticipated the comments, here is the same layout, flipped 90 degrees.  Water is horizontal, not vertical, so many of you said.  So here is this layout another way. Ah, the joys of photo editing software.
PS  Like so many of you I am really starting to see some of those more yellowy greens. Not sure what I'll do about that yet.

I actually really like this. I think the watery look could be amazing if the seam was a wavy seam with big curves. It may even be better yet if there were 3 sections...

of the versions up, I think I like yesterday's Version 2 best. It gave me the sense of waterfalls, which I was really liking. The movement was interesting. I think these versions might be a bit too stagnant for my liking.

Wow! I really like this version! It's my favorite of the three...

YUP! But...
Too static, get some shorts over on the left and vice versa. These could be the shadowy parts of the water and you could get some longer side to side bluer stuff happening if you were so inclined. I'm enjoying this! Are YOU getting any work done? LOL

I still like version 1 the best, but I think this one is pretty cool, too. And I think you might have inspired me. . . ;0)

I like the vertical better of the two, but not much movement going on . . .I like v2 for that :) however if a curve or waves were worked in to the mix I may be happier! As if it's about me!!! lOL

I like v1 so far, but v3 flipped looks good too. But that's not helping is it?!!?

I still like v2 best. If you took v2 and pieced them all together so that they were all horizontal, but not matchy matchy like these ones. these ones, it looks like two big chunks put together. just suggesting is all...

Still a fan of v.2 so far! My thought for the day - water rarely travels in exactly the same direction so I'm finding this version a bit static? Maybe?

BTW - I like the yellowy greens. Depending on which bit of water you're representing, they are potentially very appropriate for the theme!

i love the simplicity of this one the best. by far. so much so that i might copy it even if you dump the design. it's clean. like water.

Water is vertical in a waterfall/fountain/sink/shower. I like version 2 but it's hard for me to envision the entire layout. If you did long strips of horizontal lines that didn't quite match up, it would most likely give the impression of undulating water...

Love the colors - it would be fun to build a room around that one.

Still like V2 the best! Still not sure why..but I do.

With the strips going horizontal and a wavy seam connecting them, this could be very interesting.

I like version #3. If you added a white sashing to clean up the lines and then quilted it in a wave I think you would get 'water' with this one. Just my opinion. I can't wait to see what you choose and the finished quilt.
I have a question-you did a grass and now a water, is dirt next?

i'd keep the yellowy greens. this last one-horizonally, is great!
