Water Argh

That make-do attitude so many of you commended me on is on its way out the door.  To be replaced with pissy attitude and cranky pants moods.  The fence is on its way!  Yay for the fence.  And while that is actually a good thing, it means I'm on full-time kid duty on top of work.  I thought that it would be perfect to head to the park and work on layouts while the girls played around me.  Such a dreamy fantasy.  Instead there was just enough of a breeze to keep the strips from staying in place.  Death Wish Arkison (a.k.a Smilosaurus) kept making a beeline for the road with a great big evil grin on her face.  And if she wasn't doing that she was attacking the fabric.  I finally gave up trying to do anything and give in to her own poopy bum.

Pardon my french, but fuck it.  I need to do something else for a while.

A fence would be nice. When my kids were little I had a treehouse that was difficult for kids to get to. They would play below while I drank wine in the tree!

Fences and playpens are great particularly for us Nanas!

You might want to invest in a cheap flannel backed tablecloth to tac on the wall to lay out your design.

That picture reminds me of every attempt at a quilt photo that has been ruined here by a cat suddenly jumping into the middle of the blocks. They think they get extra points for spinning in circles and making them fly!

I do love those colors.

pardon nothing, sometimes it just needs to be said. Im sure it will go together once you take a break from it.

You go ahead and swear. I love to swear!

I was thinking that the fence is really a quilt flannelwall in disguise. Really, it confines the kiddos, offers a place to check out your designs, and lets you be outside.

There it is. Or not. Swear away if that's what it takes.
