I couldn't agree more. Nothing cracks me up more than these high end quilters who spend oodles of money on specific fabric to make a quilt, so much so that the owner is afraid to use it. My gramma made quilt after quilt, and each one was made out of need. We still use them today, along with my discount and bargain bin and store selvage fabric quilts. I say, "Let them be used!" check out my quilts and more at mamajlllof2crafts.blogspot.com.
