My husband and I really know how to turn up the romance. As one friend said, we know how to have a CRAZY time.This is us. It's after the girls have gone to sleep. We cracked a beer, turned on that day's Tour de France coverage, and basted the triangle quilt.
In his defence (and mine), I made him help me. The quilt is for the girls so I thought he should, literally, have a hand in it. Besides, at 90'' by 90'' it was taking over the living room as it was basted, he might as well have helped.
Wow that is love! The quilt came out beautiful. I can't wait to see it done.

ReplyDeleteDo tell me that I found another quilter who watches the Tdf! I tape the live version broadcasted in the morning and watch it when I get to the house after work. Sometimes I even watch the evening broadcast! Love the quilt. I have been working on a zig zag quilt while watching the tour.
ReplyDeletePerfect. I too have made the hubby help with basting quilts. Although he always asks for the baster and where the turkey is... darn husbands, but he does help so you know it is love! Glad you hubby is great to you too :)

ReplyDeleteWow... I'm almost a month behind in blog-reading! I'm so glad I went all the way back to every unread post, though, because I LOVE this quilt. Wow. The colors, the shapes, the layout. It's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI like to know, too, that another couple is busy with their hands while watching the Tour. While we've got the Tour on, Barry is usually working on a bike while I'm fiddling with jewelry, but the idea is exactly the same. It's a nice way to spend time together, right?
