I was taught to do that when I was trained to be a teacher. Since we all do things differently, I think it's best to expose people in a class to multiple options (unless, of course, the class is "sold" as a course on how to perform a specific skill in a specific way, so that it's clear from the get go).sulu-designhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14997610829986070303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-21317136944849502642013-01-30T21:27:33.182-07:002013-01-30T21:27:33.182-07:00The technique that the teacher specializes in....The technique that the teacher specializes in....Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11133060208533101453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-80650568924500200342013-01-30T21:15:09.420-07:002013-01-30T21:15:09.420-07:00Focus on what works best.Focus on what works best.Aritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13209037711721625471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-54720997838415656932013-01-30T19:18:35.898-07:002013-01-30T19:18:35.898-07:00Teach the one you know/prefer, but at least touch ...Teach the one you know/prefer, but at least touch on the other methods. However, some learners get really intimidated and confused by that and would rather have "the" way you do it and master that before adding variations; even then most of those students will probably only do it the way you show them first. If you can swing it, you can try to put a little wiggle room in your class plan so that you can gauge what kind of students you have before committing one way or the other.CitricSugarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17580076318545974487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-68256780865328223882013-01-30T16:48:28.713-07:002013-01-30T16:48:28.713-07:00I have never taken a class either,,,but I feel tha...I have never taken a class either,,,but I feel that I would want to know the teacher's methods--that would be why I would take the class....like how Jo Diggs does her landscapes for instance....just one gal's opinion...JulieroseJulierosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04079686021190332890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-33341561526415429462013-01-30T16:39:31.387-07:002013-01-30T16:39:31.387-07:00When I teach I show the way I like the most, but t...When I teach I show the way I like the most, but three is always someone that asks if there's another way to do the same thing. <br />It's important that everybody feels secure and find the way that feels right for them and that they have fun!Majahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13359586542058893892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-46754753382100082712013-01-30T15:00:35.601-07:002013-01-30T15:00:35.601-07:00Teach me what you do best, but mention the alterna...Teach me what you do best, but mention the alternatives in case I want to look into them..
