They're almost sculptural, no? Kidding... we're in bad need of attractive book storage, too. My husband doesn't understand, he hates reading.

He thinks I should get a Kindle or something but I just can't. I LOVE the feel of books, the look of them on shelves and the smell of printed pages, old and new. :)Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15857759265616125890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-2445515980408756572013-06-10T16:04:06.696-06:002013-06-10T16:04:06.696-06:00You will have that space filled up in no time. Someday (after a huge lotter win) I would like a library that has a rolling ladder going from bookcase to bookcase. You'll get all of yours corralled too. Good luck!Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03918572652405076915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-29907954009944260482013-06-09T19:56:02.017-06:002013-06-09T19:56:02.017-06:00There is a business here in MSP that specializes i...There is a business here in MSP that specializes in mid-century called Find Furnish. They used to do the Facebook/private sale thing and now have a store front. I think if you looked back through all their photos/sold items on their website/facebook page you'd perhaps get some ideas? And I'm sure you could find some MCM/retro glasses to outfit your library too!karen @ badlandsquiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04706161628403647287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-55553828155791657102013-06-09T14:40:09.998-06:002013-06-09T14:40:09.998-06:00my husband decided it was easier to buy me a kindl...my husband decided it was easier to buy me a kindle rather than another new bookcase - I read far too mcuh. 2 years later I have over 300 books (all read) on my kindle and the best thing is I can take it everywhere with me. I do, however, buy 'real' sewing books as the pictures are so much better!Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14653361819930261917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-13631259633396774052013-06-09T13:42:05.418-06:002013-06-09T13:42:05.418-06:00oooh! a home library! I so love that look. I read all the time and my girls do too. Since the move to the apartment, most of my books are in the basement in boxes. I pretty much sold most of my non-quilting books to half price books cause I knew there was no room for them. Hmmm maybe I will get some stuff from IKEA for the TV and lots of books.
Hope all of yours find a home.Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10091568315821485891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-16407869592585959822013-06-09T11:31:04.775-06:002013-06-09T11:31:04.775-06:00I'm a bit of a book junkie as well. I am also rabid about re-reading and collecting whole sets of books by an author (eg. I own all of Agatha Christie's mysteries!) I can only dream of a real library reading room...big comfy, red leather chairs and those green shaded lamps...one of my dreams...JulieroseJulierosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04079686021190332890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7593114644785141187.post-34184361860185998882013-06-09T09:59:38.360-06:002013-06-09T09:59:38.360-06:00How about these ones...

In my current home I went to the local habitat restore, bought a couple brown faux wood with bits of old moldings for about $25. Painted everything white and had custom look bookcases. Now in my studio i went to ikea and bought billy bookcases for my stash.Lucky Duck Dreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01968961207550409189noreply@blogger.com
